Get the best out of your Video Phone

There are a few steps you can take when setting up your room and using the
videophone to ensure that you get the best results:

6.1. Lighting

As with conventional photography, correct lighting is vital for achieving the best
results from your videophone. Make sure your face is well lit, preferably from the
front, and avoid having lights behind you that might shine into the camera lens.

6.2.LCD viewing angle

Correct LCD angle is essential to obtain the proper colors on the self view and
configuration screens. Move GVC-3000's LCD so that it is perpendicular i.e. at 90
degrees to the phone's keypad to get the best out of the phone.

6.3. Movement

Too much movement tends to result in a jerky picture. Avoid having a lot of
movement in the background. This doesn't mean you have to sit completely still:
just move naturally, but be aware that if you wave your arms around, the person
you are calling may see a jerky picture. Remember too that a small movement near
the camera is just as bad as a big movement at a normal distance.
If you have something very detailed to show, you can send a clear still image using
the "Video Privacy" key. When the call is active, hold the clear still image before
your camera and press "Video Privacy" key so that the image is transmitted to the
person you are talking to. You can press "Video Privacy" key again to send your
video.

6.4. Sound

Where possible, it is better to choose a quiet environment than a noisy one. In very
noisy situations you will find the handset more effective than hands free.
