If the self-test runs but the Printer will not print data from your Computer, you may
have an interface Problem. Check that both ends of the interface cable are connected
securely. If the self-test does not run at all, cal1 your Printer Service representative for
assistance.

Print Screen

If the self-test runs with no Problems, you should now perform a print Screen to
determine if the interface is working correctly. With most Computer Systems, a print

Hex Dump

If you are having Problems with a particular Printer function such as underlining or
condensed printing, perform a hex dump to determine whether the Problem is with the

Exit the Software package and turn off the Printer.
Press MODE while tunring on the Printer to enter the menu mode-
in Group A "Brint Mode" to "[ENABLE]" (see Section 3).

The Computer now sends your lines of text to the Printer, which in turn prints
out the data in hexadecimal form- You will want to check the hex Codes to see
if the underlining Code appears.
