TROUBLESHOOTING

Any of the following fail to light: headlight, high beam indicator light, taillight, license plate light, position
lights, or meter light.
TIP
• Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):
1. Front cowling assembly
2. Mudguard
1. Check the condition of each bulb
and bulb socket.
Refer to "CHECKING THE BULBS
AND BULB SOCKETS" on page
8-64.

2. Check the fuses.
(Main, headlight, ignition, taillight
and backup)

3. Check the battery.

4. Check the main switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
SWITCHES" on page 8-61.

5. Check the dimmer switch.

SWITCHES" on page 8-61.

6. Check the headlight relay.

LAYS" on page 8-69.

Replace the bulb(s) and bulb socket(s).

Replace the fuse(s).

• Clean the battery terminals.
• Recharge or replace the battery.

Replace the main switch.

The dimmer switch is faulty. Replace the
left handlebar switch.

Replace the headlight relay.
NG →
Replace the storage box light switch.
