Changing the engine oil

• Position the Snowblower on a level surface.
• When you have just stopped the engine, do not
drain the engine oil as it will still be very hot.
Change the engine oil after the engine has
cooled down.
TIP
• As correct disposal of used oils is mandated by regu-
lations (such as pollution prevention act), consult a
Yamaha dealer for oil disposal guidelines.
• For the first engine oil change, change the engine oil
after 20 operating hours (that is, when you have refu-
eled four times). After that, change the engine oil
each time the winter season begins.

WARNING
Start the engine and warm up for 2–3 minutes.
Stop the engine and remove the engine switch key.
Remove the bolts.
Detach the upper projections from the rubber
grommets of the body by pulling down the right
side cover.
Remove the engine oil drain cover by removing the
bolts.
