3 NOTICE
• Repeated impacts on the damper will cause it to
wear out over time and protrude from the shear
bolt guard. Check visually the protrusion of the
damper from the shear bolt guard and the posi-
tion of the shear bolt guard pin. When the devia-

tion of the shear bolt guard pin from the center of

the damper is as shown, the damper should be
replaced. Have a Yamaha dealer replace the part.
• If you keep operating the Snowblower with the
damper protruding from the shear bolt guard, the
shear bolt could break.
• Use genuine shear bolts when replacing.

Used to remove snow lodged or attached to chute,
auger and impeller.

• Do not look into or put your hands near the auger
when it is rotating. Rotating parts are dangerous
and can cause serious injuries.
• When removing snow lodged in a rotating part,
stop the engine, remove the engine switch key,

and wait until all moving parts have stopped.
Otherwise, the moving parts can cause serious
injuries.
• Wear gloves when using the clean-out tool
(lodged snow remover) to avoid injuries.
