Connections

9.3.1
Introduction
This section gives an overview of typical system
connections using the extension power supply:
Connecting to the mains (see section 9.3.2).
Connecting to the system (see section 9.3.3).
Connecting tap-offs (see section 9.3.4).
9.3.2
Connecting to the mains
Connecting the extension power supply to the mains
involves the following steps:
1 Select the correct local mains voltage using the mains
connector block (see figure 9.4).
Note
By default, the LBB4106/00 is configured for a
mains voltage of 230 V(AC), whereas the
LBB4106/00D is configured for a mains voltage
of 115 V(AC).
Danger
Before removing the top cover, disconnect the
mains and mains cable from the extension power
supply. Read also the 'Important safeguards'
which are available as a separate document
(9922 141 7014x).
Danger
Ensure that the extension power supply is not
connected to the mains supply when rewiring for
a different voltage. The extension power supply
must be earthed via the power supply using the
green/yellow wire. The mains plug must be an
earthed type.

2 Put the correct type of fuse in the extension power
supply (see figure 9.4).
3 Connect a locally approved mains cord to the
extension power supply (see figure 9.3).
4 Connect the mains cord to an locally approved
mains outlet.
