4-5-9. A/D Manual Video Level Adjustment
Preparations
. Turn on the main power of the MAV-555A and measuring equipment. Wait for at least 30 minutes
before starting any adjustments.
. Measure the output level of signal generator and check that the signal level stays within the specifica-
tions.
Specifications : A = 714 ± 3.5 mV : 525/60 mode
A = 700 ± 3.5 mV : 625/50 mode

Take note of this measurement value.
1. Select "A/D Manual Video Level (default)" of the ADjuster2.
2. Click "Write to EEPROM" of the ADjuster2 and save the set value.
3. Select "A/D Gain Level" of the ADjuster2.
4. Input the 100% color bars signal from signal generator.
5. Change the set value of the level bar of the ADjuster2 using
computer or with a mouse. Click "Set" and confirm the pedestal level.
6. Repeat step 3 until the specifications are satisfied.
Specifications : A = Within the range of ± 3 mV of the output level measurement result from the
above-described signal generator.

7. Click "Write to EEPROM" of the ADjuster2 and save the set value.

Set the R2 port to the record mode and the P2 port to the playback mode.
Perform the adjustments as described in Sections 4-5-7 to 4-5-9.

The CF Adjustment is the Factory use item.
4-5-11. Setting upon Completion of Adjustment
1. Select "File"_"Disconnect" on the top menu of the ADjuster2.
2. Quit the ADjuster2.
3. Return the setup menus (menu Nos. 782, 701, 704, 705 and 706) to the original setup before starting
the adjustment.
4. Turn off the main power of the MAV-555A.
