Description
Use igmp proxying forwarding to enable a non-querier downstream interface to forward multicast traffic.
Use undo igmp proxying forwarding to disable the forwarding capability of a non-querier downstream
interface.
By default, a non-querier downstream interface does not forward multicast traffic.
Examples
# Enable the multicast forwarding capability on VLAN-interface 100, a non-querier downstream
interface on the IGMP proxy switch.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface vlan-interface 100
[Sysname-Vlan-interface100] igmp proxying forwarding

igmp require-router-alert
undo igmp require-router-alert

Parameters
None
Description
Use igmp require-router-alert to configure the interface to discard IGMP messages that do not carry the
Router-Alert option.
Use undo igmp require-router-alert to restore the default.
By default, the switch does not check the Router-Alert option but passes all the IGMP messages that it
receives to the upper layer protocol for processing.
Related commands: igmp send-router-alert and require-router-alert.

# Configure VLAN-interface 100 to discard IGMP messages that do not carry the Router-Alert option.
