Locking the Menu of the Camera

The menu can be locked. Once locked, the Menu display
does not appear even if you press the MENU button in
CAMERA or PLAY mode. Then you can prevent
unintended changes of the menu settings by careless
operation. However, only the exposure can still be
changed by pressing v or V of the control button.
Locking the menu
Press and hold the MENU button for more than three
seconds. The Menu display is turned off, and the lock
mark
appears. When you press the MENU button, the
Menu display does not appear, but the lock mark appears
to indicate that the menu is locked.
The menu remains locked even if CAMERA mode is
changed to PLAY mode or vice versa, or if the power is
turned off.
Releasing the lock of the menu
Display the lock mark. Then press and hold the MENU
button for more than three second until the lock mark is
turned off. Then the Menu display will appear.
