Troubleshooting

Before requesting service, check the points listed below. If the problem persists,
contact your supplier.
Starting up
Symptom
Power does not come on.
Power gets turned off
automatically.
Operation
Symptom
Cover cannot be opened.
Key cannot be removed
from lock.
P2 card slot cover cannot
be closed.
The unit does not respond
or another problem has
occurred.
Recorder was restarted
without performing a
reset.
• Check whether power cable (included in the
separately sold Cable Kit) is connected correctly.
• If you have set a [PowerOff Time] (see the
Operating Instructions of the Remote Control
Panel) and are running the recorder with the
ignition switch at LOCK (OFF), turn the ignition
switch on and reboot the recorder (see page
18).
• If the operating environment is hotter than the
recommended temperature, the unit may turn
off for safety reasons. If this happens, wait for
the operating environment to cool down before
using the unit.
• Are you using the supplied key?
• Is the P2 card slot cover closed? The key can
only be removed if the P2 card slot cover is
closed.
• Is a P2 card inserted correctly in a P2 card slot?
• Is the Eject button folded to the right?
• If the button lock is enabled ("ON"), change the
setting to "OFF" (see the Operating Instructions
of the Remote Control Panel).
• To reset the unit, hold down the [REC] button
and [STOP] button on the front panel together
for about 10 seconds. When resetting, after all
lamps turn off (1 or 2 seconds) and then on (1
or 2 seconds), all lamps blink.
• If you remove the P2 card during P2 card
access ([BUSY] lamp is lit), the P2 card slot
may become inoperative. In such a case, the
recorder automatically restarts itself, and the
card slot will become operative again.
• When auto maintenance is set to "ON", the
recorder reboots at the set interval.
