Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) — Primary
Rate Interface (PRI)
Description
The system can receive the PRI ISDN service offered from the telephone company.
An optional ISDN Line Unit, KX-TD290 is required. The KX-TD290 can be installed in the
KX-TD1232 only.

Regular
The preassigned DIL 1:1 extensions receive calls.
<[407-408] DIL 1:1 Extension – Day / Night>
Disable
The preassigned DIL 1:N extension
receive calls.

Delayed Ringing – Day / Night>
Conditions
• The PLL (Phase Locked Loops) Card (KX-TD112) must be installed to the system before
the ISDN Line Unit is installed. This card is used to synchronize the system clock with the
clock of the ISDN network.
• If the destination is in the Do Not Disturb mode, or has disabled the Call Waiting mode and
is busy, the following may occur, if "ISDN" is selected in program [420].
a)
The call is sent to the IRNA destination.
b)
The call is received at the corresponding CO button which only flashes. (Default)
c)
The system sends a busy tone.
To select how the call is treated, refer to program [990] System Additional Information, Area
07 - Bit 13, 12.
Note
After ISDN assignments, you should reset the system so that the assignments are effective.

Select the ISDN ring service, ISDN or Regular.
<[420] ISDN Ring Service Assignment>
Search the DID Transfer Table for the assigned number.
<[136] DID Number Assignment>
A call is received at a specific extension directly using
the DID (ISDN) service.*
<[137-138] DID Extension – Day / Night>
*: DID (ISDN) Service
Provides automatic direction of an incoming call
from an ISDN line to a specific extension.
This is an ISDN service version of DID service.
