The unit is not connected to the computer correctly.
In some cases, the unit may not display the "Connected" icon or may not
be recognized when it is connected to a computer. Disconnect the unit
from the computer, then reconnect it.
Wind noise has been recorded.
The built-in stereo microphone is highly sensitive. Therefore, a slight
breeze or breath — even a weak air conditioning breeze that hits the
microphones directly — will be recorded as noise. To reduce the level of
wind and other environmental noise:
• Use the recorder with the wind screen (protection against wind and
sibilance) attached to the built-in stereo microphones.
• Turn on the High Pass Filter via menu item [HPF] (see
• Set the [MIC SENS] (microphone sensitivity) switch to [LOW].
The battery is exhausted.
