Making a Call: (Continued)

Pick up the handset.

Make sure that a dial tone is
heard from the handset.

Select the number to dial.
4.
Use the handset in the same
manner as a regular telephone.
5.
Hang up the handset when the
call is complete.
Making an On-hook Call:
1.
Press <FAX/MAIL>.
2.
With the handset in place, touch
[On-hook Dial].

Make sure that a dial tone is
heard from the handset.

Select the destination number.
4.
When you hear the call being
answered, simply lift the handset
and talk.
-OR-
If a facsimile tone is heard,
insert the document in the ADF
and press <Start> to begin
communication.
5.
If making a voice call, hang up
the handset when the call is
complete.
