Customer Information for U.S.A.

This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules. On the rear side
of this equipment is a label that contains, among other information, the
FCC registration number and ringer equivalence number (REN) for this
equipment. You must, upon request, provide this information to your Tele-
phone Company.
This equipment uses the following USOC jacks: RJ11.
An FCC compliant telephone cord and modular plug is provided with this
equipment. The equipment is designed to connect to the telephone network
or premises wiring using a compatible modular jack which is Part 68 com-
pliant. (To connect the Fax, see Getting Started, Chapter 4.)
The REN is useful for determining the maximum number of devices you
may connect to the telephone line that can ring when your telephone num-
ber is called. In most, but not all areas, the sum of RENs should not exceed
five (5.0). To be certain of the number of devices you may connect to your
line, as determined by the total number of RENs in your calling area, you
should contact your local Telephone Company.
If the terminal equipment FM-2 causes harm to the telephone network, the
Telephone Company may discontinue your service temporarily. If possi-
ble, they will notify you in advance. But if advance notice is not practical,
the Telephone Company will notify you as soon as possible. You will be
informed of your right to file a complaint with the FCC.
The Telephone Company may make changes in its facilities, equipment,
operations or procedures that could affect the operation of the equipment.
If this happens, the Telephone Company will provide advance notice in or-
der for you to make necessary modifications to maintain uninterrupted ser-
vice.
If you experience trouble with this telephone equipment, please contact
Hitachi Koki Imaging Solutions, Inc., 1757 Tapo Canyon Rd., Simi
Valley, CA 93063, USA, (805) 578-4000 for information on obtaining ser-
vice or repair. If the equipment is causing harm to the telephone network,
the Telephone Company may request you to disconnect the equipment un-
til the problem is resolved.
