Turning On/Off Your Camera

Press the POWER button to turn on the power. The lens cover opens and the lens extends. To turn
off the power, press the POWER button again. The lens retracts and the lens cover closes.
Note:
The lens does not extend when you turn on the power if the camera is already set to Playback mode or Setup
mode.

Making the Initial Settings

When you turn on the L-500V for the first time, you need to specify a display language and set the
date and time.
Selecting a language
Select the language you want to use with the joystick, then press the OK button.
