Removing the drive unit and hinge plate L

(12) Remove two screws from the drive unit.
(13) Slightly lift up the drive unit and disconnect the printer motor harness from the motor.
NOTE: After removing the drive unit, take care not to drop the grounding spring L.
(14) Take off the motor cover by removing the screw.
(15) Take off the printer motor by removing the screw.
(16) Remove two screw from the hinge plate L and take it off.
