7. You have completed all the steps required for the installation of network
drivers. If you are in the process of installing Microsoft Windows NT,
proceed with the Windows NT Setup program.
NOTE
The installation and/or changes of network configuration
will not take effect until you reboot the computer.
Adding the HP NetRAID Adapter to an existing Windows NT system
Create the Diskettes You Need
Before you begin, follow step 1 of the section "Installing Windows NT 3.51" to create
the Drivers Diskette.
Steps for Adding the HP NetRAID Adapter Drivers
Follow these instructions only if Windows NT v3.51 is already installed.
1. Open the Main folder. Double click on the Windows NT Setup icon.
2. Select the Options pull-down menu and then select Add/Remove SCSI
Adapters.
The SCSI Adapter setup program displays a list of all host adapters currently
installed.
3. Click the Add button. A list of additional SCSI adapters appears in the Select
SCSI Adapter Option screen.
4. Expand the list of additional SCSI adapters; go to the end of the list and
select Other (Requires a disk from a hardware manufacturer) and press Enter.
5. When the Insert Disk window appears, insert the Drivers Diskette into drive A:
and enter the path name A:\NETRAID. Click OK to install the driver.
6. In the Select OEM Option screen, select the Hewlett-Packard NetRAID
Adapter driver, and click OK.
7. In the next screen, Select SCSI Adapter Option, the Hewlett-Packard NetRAID
Adapter is already selected, simply click Install.
8. If the following message appears, click New to replace the existing driver.
The driver(s) for this SCSI Adapter are already on the
system. Do you want to use the currently installed
driver(s) or install new one(s).
