A RAID Configuration

RAID configuration of disk drives in the second hot-swap mass storage cage
differs for the following cases:
Initial configuration of the HP NetServer with two integrated HP NetRAID
channels
Later addition of the second integrated HP NetRAID channel
NOTE
Integrated HP NetRAID does NOT support tape drives.
Configuring both hot-swap mass storage cages as RAID means
that the NetServer's I/O board does NOT support tape drives in
the non-hot-swap shelves.
To configure both hot-swap mass storage cages as RAID and
use a tape drive, order the D5025A SCSI controller board , and
install it to control the tape drive.

Later Addition of a Second Integrated HP NetRAID
Channel
If you intend to use Custom configuration mode in the HP NetRAID Assistant
Wizard, plan your configuration by using the planning chapter of the Integrated
HP NetRAID Controller Configuration Guide.
Configure the drives on the second integrated HP NetRAID channel according to
the chapter in the Integrated HP NetRAID Controller Configuration Guide about
configuring a second integrated HP NetRAID channel.
If Ultra2 SCSI support was disabled and you want to enable it, refer to the
Integrated HP NetRAID Controller Configuration Guide to run HP NetRAID
Express Tools.
