The Performance Data can also be
Transferred to a RAM MUSIC NOTE-
[CVP-10/8 only]
First insert the RAM chip (located on the lower right corner of the RAM
MUSIC NOTEBOOK) into the Clavinova socket. The other procedures
for data transfer are all identical to those for a RAM PACK.
Transferring the Performance Data
Using Cassette Tape Ea
[CVP-10/8 only]
1. Connect a cassette tape recorder to the Clavinova.
(HEADPHONES)

Connect the MIC.IN jack of the tape recorder to the TAPE OUT jack
of the Clavinova; and connect the HEADPHONE jack of the cassette to
the TAPE IN jack of the Clavinova. When using a stereo tape recorder,
set the Balance control to L (Left).
2. To transfer data from the Clavinova to a cassette, set the tape
recorder to the RECORD
Mode, then press the TO PACK/
TAPE (or TO TAPE for CVP-8) button.
The data memorized in the Clavinova will now be transferred on to
the cassette tape. The TO PACK/TAPE (or TO TAPE) button lamp will
go off when the transfer is completed. Stop the tape recorder. If your
recorder has a counter, you may wish to note the starting and ending
numbers to facilitate later use.
3. To transfer data from the cassette to the Clavinova,
press
the
FROM PACK/TAPE (or FROM TAPE
for CVP-8)
button,
then set the tape recorder to PLAY
Mode.
The data memorized
in the cassette tape will be transferred into the
Clavinova. The FROM
PACK/TAPE
(or FROM
TAPE) button lamp
will go off when the transfer is completed.
You can now
stop the
tape recoder.

The time required to transfer data to or from a cas-
sette tape varies depending on the amount of data,
but the maximum
'time required is approximately
5 minutes.
