NOISE REDUCTION
Indicator
This indicator shows what type of noise reduction system is being
used.
FILTER Indicator
This indicator will light up when the MPX FILTER SWITCH is on.
BIAS
Indicates direction of tuning for optimum bias setting.
— MONITOR
Indicator
This will indicate either the TAPE or SOURCE
MONITOR position.
TAPE Indicator
This indicator will automatically үк
the type of tape being used
when a cassette is loaded into the unit (auto tape selector).
Refer to the section "CASSETTE TAPES" on page14.
TEST Indicator
This indicator will light up during the ORBIT operation (bias
adjustment). It will flicker during the STANDBY
mode.
REC Indicator
This indicator will light up during the RECORD
and REC/PAUSE
modes. It will flicker during the AUTO REC MUTE mode.
ePrecision of Counter
The tape counter is not a clock, and so there will be some errors in
the time display compared to the actual recording time (this cannot
be avoided, as a suitable method is adopted to provide a time
display not only during recording and playback, but also during fast
forward and rewind). The error depends on the type of tape being
used.
The table below shows the range of error in the counter display
compared to actual tape travel time, for Yamaha tapes run from
beginning to end. It may be taken as a reference when using the
counter.
