~ Inserting the batteries
When replacing the batteries,
make sure the phone is plugged
into an AC outlet, or all your
message and settings will be lost.

The (QQ mark appears on the
display when batteries are not
inserted in the phone.
Replace the batteries about once
a year.
12 | Setting up
Your recorded messages and settings are stored in the memory.
They will be lost if a power interruption occurs (such as the AC plug
being accidentally disconnected, or a temporary power failure).
Inserting the batteries lets you back up the memory contents in case
of a power interruption.

Slide open the battery compartment cover.

Insert the four size AAA (R03) batteries (supplied).
Make sure the © and © on the batteries match the marking in the
battery compartment.

Slide the cover back until it snaps into place.
The <X] mark on the display disappears, indicating the batteries
are inserted.
