Start/Pause Operation
i
When the ""ST/Pause"
function is selected the footswitch can be
used to START playback from the STOP mode. During playback,
pressing the footswitch once enters the PAUSE mode, and pressing
it again causes playback to CONTINUE
from the point at which
it was PAUSEd.
Next Phrase Operation
When the "Next
Phr" function is selected the footswitch operates
in conjunction with phrase marks placed within a song as described
in the "3-4: Phrase Repeat" section, above. If the footswitch is
pressed while the song is playing, playback is paused. When the
footswitch is pressed a second time, playback begins from the next
phrase mark rather than from the point at which playback was
paused.
When playing the piano part using one of your Clavinova's voices,
this function makes it possible to play a free solo of any length up
to the beginning of the next phrase after pausing playback.
Note: If you change the song number
or insert a different disk, the
Start/Pause mode will be automatically re-selected.
