This system consists of three power
amplifiers, front speakers, rear speakers, and a
sub-woofer. Head unit employed here has only
one pre-amplifier output connector. When you
use one pre-amplifier output unit, it should be
connected to the REAR input connector of the
XEC-1000. For input selectors, set the FRONT
and SUB-WOOFER INPUT selectors to the
OFF position. The result is all outputs from the
XEC-1000 are the signats from the REAR input
connector.
Set the FRONT and REAR crossover point
selectors to the FLAT position.
When you incorporate a monaural sub-woofer
into the system, as shown in this example, set
the SUB-WOOFER STEREO/MONO selector to
the MONO position.

Needless to say, these examples are just
starting points for a wide range of system
configurations. There may be many other
system designs depending on the number of
power amplifiers, speakers and types of your
head unit.
