BMC Reset

Press BMC RESET Switch only if a problem occurs in EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3 (BMC).
Do not press this switch usually.
Do not turn on/off the server, restart the system, or perform any switch operation for at least three minutes after
resetting the BMC.
Follow the steps below to reset BMC.
1. Press ID/BMC RESET Switch for at least eight seconds. The ID LED starts blinking.
2. The blinking speed of ID LED becomes slower when you release your finger from ID/BMC RESET Switch.
In that state, press ID/BMC RESET Switch again within four seconds.
3. The BMC Reset starts. While BMC is being reset, STATUS LED lights red. Do not operate the server
while STATUS LED lights red.
After resetting BMC, STATUS LED lights green when the server is powered on, or goes off when the
server is off-powered.

Tips
BMC RESET Switch only resets BMC and does not restart the server.
The network connection from client to BMC is disconnected when resetting BMC.
