The total storage and transportation time of the ESS or battery packs cannot
exceed eight months (starting from delivery). If it exceeds eight months,
charge the battery packs and calibrate the SOC to at least 50%. Otherwise,
the battery pack performance and service life may be affected.
The ESSs cannot be stacked.
The ground for (long-term or temporary) storage is level, and the height
tolerance of the ground in contact with the container is less than 5 mm.
The container doors are closed tightly.
Storage temperature: –40°C to +60°C; humidity: 5%–95% RH
Desiccants must be placed in control unit cabins and battery cabins for long-
term storage.
The main power loop of the ESS must be disconnected during storage. It is
recommended that the auxiliary power loop be powered on to ensure that the
monitoring system works properly.
Place batteries according to the signs on the packing case during storage. Do
not place batteries upside down, lay them on one side, or tilt them. Stack
battery packing cases in compliance with the stacking requirements on the
packaging.
– This way up: The transport package should be vertically oriented.
– Fragile: The transport package contains fragile objects and must be
handled with care.
– Keep dry: The transport package must be kept away from rain.
– Stacking limit by number: The transport package shall not be vertically
stacked beyond the specified number. For this product, the maximum
number of stacking layers N is 4.
Handle batteries with caution to avoid damage.
The storage environment requirements are as follows:
– Ambient temperature: 0–40°C; recommended storage temperature: 20–
30°C
– Relative humidity: 5%–80% RH
– Store batteries in a dry, clean, and well-ventilated place.
– Keep batteries away from corrosive organic solvents or gases.
– Protect batteries from direct sunlight.
– Keep batteries at least 2 meters away from heat sources.
The batteries in storage must be disconnected from external devices. The
indicators (if any) on the batteries must be off.
