b) Ballast test 2 - Forced ballast on – Normally, the microprocessor turns on the ballast
and in turn, the ballast turns on the lamp within 5 seconds from pressing the power-on
button. However, by manually connecting 2 points on the ballast board, the ballast
circuitry turns on and develops 20kV to ignite the lamp without a command from the
microprocessor.
