Toro DIAG–Quick Start
Ensure that the Toro DIAG software and the drivers for the Toro DIAG Cable (Part No. 115-1944) are already
installed on your PC. If they are not installed, go to the Toro DIAG Software Guide and follow the steps in the
Toro DIAG Software Installation section.
Important:
This procedure assumes that the Toro DIAG cable has been physically connected to the
PC at least once and that the PC has found and recognized the cable as "New Hardware." If these 2
actions have not occurred, go to the Toro DIAG Software Guide and follow the steps in the Toro DIAG
Cable Installation section.
For the Toro DIAG software to connect between the PC and the machine, perform the following steps exactly
as written:
1.
Verify that the machine is shut off.
2.
Turn on the PC, but leave the machine shut off.
Important:
Do not start the Toro DIAG software until later in this procedure.

Leave the machine turned off until later in this procedure.
3.
Remove the left-hand cover assembly
4.
Connect the Toro DIAG cable (Part No. 115-1944) between a USB port on the PC and the e-reels harness
connector P23 (CAN diagnostic port) on the machine (see
1. Operator's seat
5.
Start the Toro DIAG software. (Toro DIAG goes through a short Discovery routine to initialize the program.)
6.
Wait for the Toro DIAG software to display the message, "No Machine Connected"
