Adjust crossbars as needed, to ensure straps are
aligned relative to the load's center of gravity and to
prevent swaying.

Tighten all u-bracket bolts to shop specifications.

Ratchet straps can also be connected using the alternative
method (see step 9B).
9B.
Route each ratchet strap around the vertical base
of each forklift fork, hook each strap to itself
connect each ratchet strap to an eye bolt on the
forward crossbar
(see Fig. 7).

Using the built-in ratchet
hand-tighten ratchet straps to create maximum
tension .

Ensure all u-bracket bolts are torqued to shop
specifications and that all lift straps are free from
kinks, twists, and knotting, before applying load.
