Setting sleep mode

The device automatically goes into sleep
mode after 16 hours of activity and wakes
up again after 8 hours.
Hold down the button on the underside

of the light unit for 3 seconds until the
light unit flashes twice.

a The start time for sleep mode is saved
and is retained until it is changed again.
Notes
¡ Sleep mode should begin in the evening
so as to give your plants time to rest in
the dark. This also means you won't be
disturbed by the bright light, e.g. in the
bedroom.
¡ To temporarily switch on the lighting
while in sleep mode, briefly press the
button on the underside of the light unit.
Switching off the lighting tem-
porarily
To switch off the lighting, briefly press

unit.

To switch the lighting back on, press the

Notes
¡ The lighting will automatically switch on
again once the next sleep mode phase
comes to an end.
¡ Repeatedly switching off the lighting on a
daily basis may adversely affect growth
of the plants.
Starting holiday mode
Requirements
¡ At least one height module has been in-
serted.
¡ The nutrient solution is filled up to the
marking .

Hold down the button on the underside

of the light unit for 10 seconds until the
light unit lights up pink.

Descaling the appliance

Notes
¡ Descale the appliance whenever you
have harvested your plants in their en-
tirety (after approx. 3-5 months).
¡ You can descale the device either using
lemon juice or specially developed de-
scaling tablets.
Requirements
¡ There are no plant capsules in the plant
tray.
¡ The device is fully assembled, a height
module is inserted and the light unit fit-
ted.
Prepare the descaling solution. Select

one of the following options:
Dissolve two teaspoons of citric acid

in 1 litre of warm water at approx.
50 °C.
Dissolve a descaling tablet in 1 litre of
‒
lukewarm water and wait 5 minutes.
Slowly pour the prepared descaling solu-

tion into the plant tray.
Hold down the button on the underside

of the light unit for 15 seconds until the
light unit lights up green.

prox. 2½ minutes.
Notes
¡ If not all deposits have dissolved, leave
the descaling solution to work for at least
2 hours and then start the pump again.
¡ If necessary, leave the descaling solution
to work in the bowl overnight.
