The quality of my video conference is not
as clear as I would like. Why is that?

Communication performance depends on several factors,
including, but not limited to, local communication providers
systems, infrastructure and/or the volume of traffic (number
of users) on the communication network. For wireless
communication, factors, such as proximity to a
communication tower, obstructions, such as buildings, local
weather conditions, trees, or a dead zone, where little or no
coverage is possible, can cause diminished performance.
Often the performance (bandwidth) of the communication
system is diminished when wireless signal strength falls
below certain levels. This can occur in both urban and rural
areas.
The Fuzebox video application employs adaptive bandwidth
management in situations where the performance of the
communication system is unpredictable and/or below
minimum required levels for optimal video conferencing.
During a video meeting, priority is set in this order:
1. VoIP traffic (participant's audio).
2. Screen share/document share (presentation materials).
3. Video conferencing (video of participants).
When the application detects increased delays (latencies) from
a participant's network, it gives priority only to what a user is
watching.
If the video application detects a slow communication
connection from a video participant, the application may
degrade the video stream's resolution as well as quality
(frames per second) to cope with the reduced bandwidth to
deliver consistent video images.
Fuzebox's recommended minimum bandwidth requirement
for Fuze Meeting video conferencing is:
Each participant should have 2 Mbps upload and 2 Mbps
download of available internet bandwidth to participate in
a video conference.
There should be a latency (delay) of no more than 50
Milliseconds.
For more information, go to
support
and select Fuze diagnostic to assess the bandwidth
and latency of your system.
