Hold magnetic can (D7) tightly
when replacing, The magnetic field
will pull can onto armature (P6).
To remove starter motor
N6
fan, the cover and flywheel
must be removed.

Check flywheel ring gear teeth
if pinion gear teeth are damaged.
Make sure gears line up and commutator/
armature assembly (P6) turns freely.
Disconnect wires from power equipment.
Check the commutator/armature
assembly (P6) for dust or other
damage. wipe clean with lint-free
cloth
