SUPPLEMENTARY
• The basic unit requires a basic unit expansion interface module; an expansion unit requires an
expansion interface module.
• There is no limit on combination of base types (five types for basic unit, and two types for expan-
sion unit).
• When using expansion units, install an expansion interface module on each expansion base. The
expansion cable length between expansion units is 4 m max., with total length being 8 m max.
• Whether or not a power supply module is required for an expansion interface module is determined
depending on the current consumption of 5 V in the I/O module used in the expansion unit.
• Depending on whether or not a power supply module is installed for an expansion unit, it may be
necessary to switch the power supply module plug on the expansion interface module.
• Be sure to install a power supply module (PS361/332) on each expansion unit (0-1, 1-1, 2-1, 3-1).
• A G3 I/O module cannot be installed on the basic unit in duplex configuration.
