Battery duration
A fully charged battery pack lasts for about:
• 10 hours when you use the handset continuously
• one month when the handset is standing by in RING
ON mode (the RING ON/BATT SAVE switch is set to
RING ON).
You can save the handset battery power by setting the
RING ON/BATT SAVE switch to BATT SAVE. The
handset won't ring (see page 17).
Notes
• The battery pack will gradually discharge over a long period of time, even if
not in use.
• Avoid leaving the handset without charging the battery for an extended
period of time so that the battery runs out completely. This can shorten the
battery's life, as well as erase the speed dial numbers (see page 18) and the
digital security code (see page 21). If this happens, charge it on the base unit
for over 10 hours. Then reprogram the speed dial numbers. You may need to
charge the battery several times before it is recharged to its full capacity.
• When you place the handset onto the base unit and charge the battery pack, a
new security code will be assigned.
Tip
If the lid comes off, slide and snap it into the place as shown:
