2.2.2. 802.11b Menu

The 802.11b Menu displays the WEP related information including WEP use, WEP Generation,
Passphrase, WEP Default Key, Key 1, Key 2, Key 3, Key 4 and others.
WEP: Stands for Wired Equivalent Privacy. It is a function to provide the data security
for the radio communication users and can be set to 64 bits or 128 bits. The web related
information setting for the clients to communicate with related AP should be the same as
that of AP.
WEP Generation: A method to generate the web key. There are the Manual and
Passphrase. In case of Manual, it is to enter directly the web key for generation. In case
of Passphrase, when a word is entered in accordance with the pre-defined method with
the radio LAN, the web key corresponding to the related word will be automatically
