7.5 Safety information

Read the following safety information before replacing the unit.

7.6 Procedure

Use this procedure to replace an A-240Z-A CPE.

Hazardous electrical voltages and currents can

cause serious physical harm or death. Always use insulated
tools and follow proper safety precautions when connecting or
disconnecting power circuits.
Make sure all sources of power are turned off and

have no live voltages present on feed lines or terminals. Use a
voltmeter to measure for voltage before proceeding.
Always contact the local utility company before

connecting the enclosure to the utilities.
Keep indoor CPEs out of direct sunlight. Prolonged

exposure to direct sunlight can damage the unit.
Observe the local and national laws and regulations

The CPE should be installed in accordance with the
applicable requirements of the NEC or CEC. Local
authorities and practices take precedent when there is
conflict between the local standard and the NEC or CEC.
The CPE must be installed by qualified service personnel.
Indoor CPEs must be installed with cables that are suitably
rated and listed for indoor use.

for the CPE temperature ranges for these CPEs.
Deactivate the CPE services at the P-OLT.

Use the RTRV-CPE command to verify the CPE status and th associated services.
Record the serial number of the CPE displayed in the command output.
