1.4 Loading Media into the Printer
The Top Cover can be opened during the operation for control purposes only. It should be closed
during normal operation.

Be careful not touch the Print Head Element when raising the Print Head Block. Failure to do this may
cause missing dots by static electricity or other print quality problems.

1. Raise the Top Cover as shown in the diagram below.
2. Release the Print Head Block by pressing down on the Head Block Release Lever
3. Raise the Print Head Block to its fully open position as shown by the arrow
