To select or change your Answer Mode

Press Receive Mode. The screen displays your current selection.

Or, if TAD Mode is switched ON by pressing
(DIGITAL TAD button), it overrides your Answer
Mode Setting, so the screen displays:

Continue to press Receive Mode until your new selection appears. After 2 seconds, the screen
returns to the date and time display, along with your new Answer Mode setting.
If you are changing Answer Mode while in another operation, the screen returns
to the current operation display.

Setting the Ring Delay

The Ring Delay setting determines the number of times the machine rings before it answers. (See
Operation from an External or Extension Telephone, page 45 and For F/T (Fax/Tel) Mode Only,
page 45.)

Menu/Set when the screen displays your selection.

(Only for FAX-1030e)
When Toll Saver is ON, it overrides your Ring Delay setting. Toll Saver must be
off for the machine to operate using your Ring Delay setting. (See Setting the Toll
Saver, page 65.)
