7. Set up the SIMOCODE system wiring between the following components as
per Figure
–
SIRIUS SIMOCODE pro V PN basic unit
–
SIRIUS current/voltage measuring module
–
SIRIUS digital module
–
SIRIUS operator panel
The necessary cables are listed in
in the "System interfaces" chapter in manual \4\.
8. Connect the source system (PG/PC) with one of the following interfaces of the
SIMOCODE pro motor management system.
–
SIMOCODE system interface of the SIMOCODE pro V PN basic unit or of
the operator panel
In this application example, the SIMOCODE system interface of the
operator panel free to connect the source system (PG/PC) via the SIRIUS
USB PC cable.
–
PROFINET interface of the SIMOCODE pro V PN basic unit
9. Establish the physical PROFINET connection to a controller (PROFINET IO
controller), if one is present.
3.2.2

Installing the software

1. To enable your source system (PG/PC) to communicate with the SIMOCODE
device via the USB PC cable, you must first installed the associated drivers.
You can find the download and installation instructions in the SIEMENS
Industry Online Support (see \9\).
2. Verify that the following conditions are satisfied:
–
The hardware is fully assembled and wired (see chapter 3.2.1).
–
The 3-phase power circuit is de-energized or switched off via the SIRIUS
circuit breaker.
–
The power supply for every component is switched on.
3. If you are using the included project
"109478058_SIMOCODEproV_PumpBlockagePrevention_CODE_V20.zip",
extract it to a folder on the hard drive of your source system (PG/PC).
4. Open the extracted project "SIMOCODEproV_PumpBlockagePrevention", or a
project of your own that you have already modified, in TIA Portal.
5. Download the configuration and parameterization to the SIMOCODE pro V PN
basic unit.
