Limitations on editing

The following limitations apply to editing.
• Because of the track pitch difference, you cannot record or
edit on DV-formatted tapes using DVCAM video equipment.
• Editing on a DVCAM format tape with the audio recording
mode being the unlocked mode is not possible with DVCAM
format equipment (except in some cases).
In these cases, use either of the following techniques:
• Edit using audio and video jacks.
• Make a copy of a DV-formatted tape using audio and video
jacks, then use the copy tape as the source.
• Use a video device equipped with SDI or QSDI connectors to
dub again via SDI or QSDI.
