Regular maintenance
The only regular maintenance required is to clean the heads.
Do this using a Sony DVM12CL cleaning cassette.
Do not clean the heads more than five times in one session.
Notes
• Do not use a commercially available wet-type cleaning
cassette. It may damage the video heads.
• Do not use cassettes which are in poor condition, as this may
contribute to making the heads dirty.
• If cleaning the heads does not improve poor picture quality,
the heads may be worn out and need replacing. In this case,
contact your Sony service representative.
