Operation

!
Only transport the BEA 060 in an upright position.
If the BEA 060 is tilted during transportation,
condensate may escape and damage the
measurement chamber. Select the installation
location such that the BEA 060 cannot fall down
and is correctly positioned (carrying handle at top).
4.1

Power supply

The power supply is obtained from the lighting system.
The BEA 060 can be operated at between 100 V and
240 V, 50/60 Hz.
i
The BEA 060 can also be supplied with power
by way of the vehicle battery using the cigarette
lighter socket connecting cable (special accessory).
Refer to Fig. 1, Pos. 12 for connection.
!
Prior to start-up, make sure the lighting system
voltage coincides with the set BEA 060 voltage. If
the BEA 060 is operated outdoors, it is advisable
to use a voltage source protected by a residual
current-operated circuit breaker. The unit is only to
be operated in dry conditions.
!
To avoid the formation of condensation, allow the
BEA 060 to adjust to ambient temperature before
switching on the BEA 060.
i
The details of the power supply are given on
a sticker on the back of the BEA 060.
