16.Choose the encoder from the Motor encoder selection field according to type

(order no.) (see the type plate on the motor).

17.Choose Continue > to choose the control mode/setpoints (see Fig. 3-22).

18.Choose the following settings (as shown in Fig. 3-22):

– For synchronous motor, choose the "Control type" and "PROFIBUS PZD

message frame".

– For induction motor, choose the "Technological application" and "Motor iden-

tification".

The default setting is "Standard" and can be left as it is. Choose Continue >.

The following dialog box (see Fig. 3-23) is displayed when you configure an in-

duction motor with vector control.
