Localization with the AlgoMan (DZ1154)

Requirements
Load device data into DZ1154 and set localization index
Enter localization index on commissioning list/ground plan
Insert detector into the base
Repeat procedure until the detectors required have been loaded and inserted
Read-in device data into main control unit

Instead of entering the ID number and the device type on the commissioning list manu-
ally, the DZ1154 can be used to perform this operation electronically.
For description of AlgoMan see document x1643
Automatic detectors:
Detector bases mounted
Detectors not inserted
ÕThis localization method is possible in a currentless state; the control unit
must not, therefore, be installed. It is useful when a detector must be installed
in areas which will later become inaccessible.
ÕBefore the localization of a new system the AlgoMan memory must be erased
Õ AlgoMan: Function Mem Õ clear [3], Password Õ [4711] Õ yes [1]
1. Connect detector contacts to the AlgoMan according to the diagram
2. Read device data into the AlgoMan and set localization index
Õ AlgoMan: Function Read
To read-in the data (identification number, detector model, D-Bus address) into the con-
trol unit, the control unit must be switched to 'address allocation by activation' or 'by inser-
tion'. If address allocation is carried out at a later time, data from all existing devices are
read in after switching to address allocation mode, i.e. including from those devices lo-
cated using the AlgoMan.
If no address allocations are carried out, these data may be read in in the following way:
Switch line to 'address allocation through activation' or 'through insertion' and wait until
the mode becomes active (Õ pages 91/93)
ÕThe device data are read in
