Verication
This chapter normally contains unit performance-verication tests, which evaluate the
electrical performance of the unit against its specications. There are no performance-
verication tests that apply to the HP 70001A mainframe specications.
Power-On Self-Test
The act of turning on an HP 70000 Series system causes any modules installed in the system to
execute a power-on self-test. The mainframe is not involved in these tests except in supplying
power and communication for the modules.
For a detailed explanation of the power-on self-tests, refer to the \Troubleshooting" chapter of
the installation and verication manual for the system master.
Fault Indicators
The HP 70001A Mainframe has VOLT/TEMP, CURRENT, and I/O fault indicators. If any of these
indicate a fault, the condition must be cleared before the mainframe will operate. Refer to
Chapter 5, \Troubleshooting."
