Alarm signal If the scale exceeds the maximum responce speed
or if a head cable connection becomes open, an
alarm is triggered.
The alarm output is ON during normal operation and
it is turned OFF when the alarm is triggerd. The
alarm can be reset by turning the power back on.

The PL21-3U, AU is always receive Up/Down output with the Up/Down counter. Accurate
measurement cannot be obtained if only one output is used.

The displacement is detected about every 100 µs to generate pulses corresponding to the
displacement of the scale or head.
As the A/B output or Up/Down output signal, unlike common rotary encoder, is artificially
generated, it is sometimes output at the present pulse width (Tw) even when the scale
movement is slow. It is necessary to use a receiving circuit that can receive the present
pulse width.
