2.2 STARTER commissioning tool
STARTER settings for PROFIBUS
The following settings are required in STARTER for communication via PROFIBUS:
● "Tools > Set PG/PC interface..."
● "Tools > Set PG/PC interface... > Properties"

Select, Install/remove interfaces
Activate/deactivate "PG/PC is the only master on the bus".
– Connecting STARTER to an operational PROFIBUS:
STARTER automatically detects the baud rate used by SINAMICS for PROFIBUS,
and this is then used.
– Connecting STARTER for commissioning:
The Control Unit automatically detects the baud rate set in STARTER, and this is then
used.
The PROFIBUS addresses for the individual drive units must be specified in the project
and must match the address settings on the devices.
