Downloading configuration data to a Linking Device requires the following steps to
be carried out in the ABB configuration tools:

When updating a redundant set of Linking Devices, follow the procedure outlined in

Set Password
This page allows for changing the password. You have to enter the current password
first and then the new password twice, see
The default password is config. Replace this with a password that conforms with your
organization's security policy at the first possible opportunity. Failure to replace the
default password makes the system susceptible to unauthorized access.
If you erase the Linking Device configuration (e. g. in the course of a firmware update),
the password is reset to its default value, i.e. config. If this occurs, the password must
be changed from the default value.
