Indicates that the printer is printing.
3 It takes about 40 seconds for a printout to
emerge from the paper outlet. Once printing has
been completed, the printer returns to standby
status.
Notes
• While printing, do not remove the paper tray pressing
the EJECT TRAY button or do not open the
maintenance door.
• Do not pull the paper out until the printer finishes
printing.
• To prevent paper jamming, do not allow more than 10
printouts to remain on the paper cover.
To reprint an image
Execute the print operation using the print menu of the
computer again or press the PRINT button of the printer.
The image data stored in the memory is printed again.
When either "REMOVE PAPER AND PUSH
[EXEC]", or "PLEASE CLEAN" appears:
If you place the paper in the paper tray with its printing
surface facing up, "REMOVE PAPER AND PUSH
[EXEC]" appears.
In such a case, remove the paper and then re-load it
correctly, and then push the EXEC button. When the
image is printed on the wrong side of the paper, it is
recommended that you clean the thermal head with the
thermal head cleaning kit (supplied).
Also, "PLEASE CLEAN" appears whenever the
number of printed sheets reaches 500 sheets. Clean the
thermal head.
For detailed information on how to clean the thermal
head, see "Cleaning the thermal head" on page 16.
If the printer does not print
The printer will fail to print in the following cases:
• An error message is displayed in the printer window
display. Take remedies according to "Messages" on
page 20.
• When the printer is turned off, transferred image is
erased from memory, so there is nothing to print. Send
the image data to the printer again to print it.
Notes on storing your printouts
• Do not leave the printouts in direct sunlight or bright
room light. Store in a dark area at low temperature
(30°C (80°F) or lower) and low humidity. We
recommend storing the printouts in a polypropylene
pouch in a cabinet.
• Do not allow any volatile organic solvent such as
alcohol to come in contact with the printouts.
Adhesion to cellophane tape or PVC will cause fading
of the printout. Be careful when storing the printouts.
• Do not stack the printouts on or under a freshly
developed diazo copy sheet as this could cause the
film to turn black.
