KEY TECHNOLOGY
CYBER-SHOT Real Imaging Processor – RIMP
Sony's exclusive image processing system intelligently enhances your shooting
experience in three important ways:
High Speed Performance
Lightning fast start-up times, high speed image display, faster
burst shooting and shorter shutter lag times mean the camera
is ready to go when you are.
Long Battery Life
Reduces power consumption for longer shooting and viewing
time. Use your camera for longer.
Great Picture Quality
By digitally processing images, the Real Imaging Processor cuts
down on image noise, resulting in sharper, smoother and more
detailed pictures.
CYBER-SHOT High ISO Sensitivity
which allows faster shutter speeds to be used which greatly reduces the
likelihood of blurry photos. Combine this with our state-of-the-art Clear Raw
Noise Reduction which combats noise and you have an Anti-Blur system that
reduces the occurrence of blurry photos, improves the overall brightness and
increases the effective range of the flash.
CYBER-SHOT Histogram
A Histogram helps you determine whether your photo is correctly exposed, even when your LCD is in extreme sunlight, by reading the amount of light being
received by the camera, and converting this information into a graph. To achieve the best exposure, aim to have an even spread throughout the light range,
with both highlights and dark areas represented. No more guesswork!

Low light conditions, such as when taking
pictures indoors – often require slower shutter
speeds for the correct exposure. This often
results in blurry photos caused by movement of
the camera or the subject while the shutter is
open. That's why Sony's new Cyber-shot range
use highly sensitive CCD's (High ISO sensitivity)
