Notes to All Residents

●Automatic fire alarm facilities for fire-fighting are installed inside your unit such as the receivers
(security intercom) for apartment building or for unit and detectors. Sprinkler heads are also
installed in some buildings. The automatic fire alarm is the facility to detect fire automatically and
facilitate smooth evacuation while the sprinkler is to detect and extinguish fire. Regular and
periodic inspection is required for these facilities so that they always operate properly if fire should
occur.
Regular inspection should be performed by the tenant.
●Check if the security intercom is turned off. (Check that the power lamp is lit green.)
●Check for irregularities in the calling and talking functions of the security intercom.
(Check if the speaker sounds properly.)
●Check for distortion, damage, cracks, or loss in the security intercom, detector, gas alarm,
extra emergency button (if installed), or call button (if installed).
●Check if the power lamp of the gas alarm is lit. Are there clogs due to dust?
●Check for anything near the extra emergency button or call button that can impede their
operation. (When installed)
●Check for distortion, damage, or minor water leaks in the sprinkler heads for fire fighting.
(Sprinkler facility (only in units where installed))
If any of the above problems is found or any problem of unknown cause occurs such as an
alarm sounds for no apparent reason, contact the Manager Room or the administrating
company immediately. The automatic fire alarm facilities and sprinkler facilities (if installed)
should be handled carefully so as not to strike against anything, and inspected on a regular
basis because these facilities are for detecting and extinguishing fire in an early stage.
Periodic inspection by an inspection company is required twice a year.
Periodic inspections of the fire alarm function are mandated by law if the security intercom is
used as the automatic fire alarm facility for the apartment building or the unit. However, the
intercom itself will not sound an alarm or flash the indicator if periodic inspection is carried out
with an external tester. An alarm will sound from the door phone at the unit entrance and its
alarm indicator will flash. The confirmation indicator of the detector will flash momentarily.

●Periodic inspection is required for the notification function linked to the earthquake early
warning system. Perform earthquake evacuation training for tenants at the same time with the
periodic inspection.
●When you move, hand over the operation manual and other materials to the new tenant or
someone who will mediate, for the correct use of the product by the new tenant.
